Permit Pulse 🇪🇺
A live ranking of published processing times for temporary and permanent residence applications in European countries ⏳
More Europe is on the map. We will add country-specific pathways for further European countries once their official publication is verified. They are not ranked until then.
Read the numbers and labels carefully.
Authorities describe time differently: a recently observed average, a time for 75% of cases, or a legal maximum. Each row shows its measure. Sorting converts every published figure to days only to make the list useful; it does not make unlike measures equivalent.
Methodology
How we rank.
Every entry links to the responsible public authority. We use one representative pathway per country and status type, rather than inventing a country-wide average. Times can depend on the applicant’s location, nationality, case completeness and the processing office.
Legal maximums and EU directives are useful context, but they are not measured processing times and are never used to fill gaps in this ranking. Community aggregates can appear in the ranking when their collection scope and date are disclosed; individual reports remain separate signals. “Live” means this dataset is refreshed when an authority updates its publication.
